Hometown Shero: Meet Lisa Stringer Bailey

In what ways has being a mother influenced your approach to leadership and business management?

As a mother, I know my children are watching everything I do. I have to set the best example of how to be an ethical and caring leader and how to take care of them, home, business, and those who work for me and with me. Business ownership is an opportunity I want to pass down to my children as a legacy of something they can have long after I am gone. It can also give them a piece of me to carry on for their lifetime.

How do you integrate your family values into your business model and decision-making processes?

I am a Christian-based business with holistic family values like honesty, integrity, and treating others as you want to be treated. This behavior is already taught and practiced at home so it automatically transfers into business practices. Any decisions made outside of our family values are immediately dismissed and we know without discussion why.

What advice would you give to other mompreneurs, who may feel overwhelmed?

My advice to entrepreneurial moms is to schedule regular downtime to renew, refresh, and reset. Taking breaks from the daily grind of home life, parenting, and business is crucial. It's easy to fall into the trap of constantly pushing forward, feeling like we have to be superwomen who do it all. The reality is, we don't have to. Prioritize taking time off from chores and work—the kids and business will still be there tomorrow.

Share what is next for you in 2024 and how readers can support your business:

I plan to expand my business into more speaking engagements, to share with women the importance of money management and financial security for themselves and their families. I would love your support by following my social media content and sharing my business TripleM Money Management Matters with your family and friends. You can also purchase my new book Finding Favor With Your Finances and connect me with women's groups, churches, and non-profit or for-profit organizations who may be looking for a speaker to share financial education.
