She Will Thrive in 2025: Meet April Smith

What will thriving look like for you in 2025?

For me, thriving in 2025 means finding power and balance as I continue to scale The One Day Co while managing the demands of my nine-to-five. My vision is to expand the reach of The One Day Co by empowering more women with the tools and resources they need to achieve their goals with ease. Beyond our first product, the 90-day Daily Execution Planner, I aim to create transformative services—such as an accountability program, one-on-one coaching, and experiential offerings—that equip people to thrive and excel. On a personal level, thriving means ensuring that my business doesn’t become the master of me, but instead setting up the right systems to scale The One Day Co effectively.

Tell us about some of the actions you’re taking now to prepare for success in 2025.

To prepare for success in 2025, I’m focused on building a strong team to help execute my vision and keep things running smoothly. I’ve prioritized studying market trends and understanding customer needs to create offerings that provide the most value. I’m also putting systems in place and setting clear boundaries to keep my nine-to-five and business in balance. Focusing on delegation and quarterly strategic planning will be key to staying on track and setting myself up for sustainable growth.

What is one thing you learned this year that will change how you do things next year?

This year, I learned the hard way that I can’t build a business alone—I wore so many hats, I felt like a walking closet. In 2025, I’m handing some of those hats to the right people because, honestly, I can’t do it all (and shouldn’t try).

What one piece of advice would you give any aspiring female business leaders reading this?

My advice to aspiring female leaders is to pursue your goals with intention and ease. Ambition is powerful, but it’s just as important to make time for yourself and celebrate your wins along the way. So, remember to enjoy the process and embrace the experiences that come with it.

What is YOUR NUMBER 1 TIP for anyone struggling to complete goals?

My number one tip is to write your vision down, make it crystal clear, and break it into actionable steps. The key to achieving your goals is looking at them every day and staying consistent with the small steps that lead to big results. That’s exactly why I created the One Day Daily Execution Planner—to help women transform their goals into a plan they can actually execute, one day at a time.
