She’s That Girl: Meet Financial Advisor, Breanna Colón

Breanna Colón is the President/CEO of Integrity Financial Solutions Inc., a financial service and education company. Originally from Augusta, Georgia, and currently residing in the DC Metropolitan Area with offices in Columbia, MD, she is committed to helping her clients achieve financial freedom. Her ultimate goal is to create an exceptional journey, instill confidence, and always provide excellent customer service backed by honest interactions.

Where does your boldness and confidence come from?

My boldness and confidence come from understanding who I am, whose I am, and the purpose that God has placed inside of me. Earlier in my business years, I didn’t value myself and my services and it showed in how people treated me. People didn’t care about my time; I would show up for appointments and they would stand me up, or cancel at the last minute or I would find myself constantly explaining my fees.

When I began to understand that I have a gift and a purpose for the gift, and my knowledge is valuable; business began to change. When I continued to increase my knowledge and started seeing myself differently, so did others. I went from people stringing me along to people asking “Are you taking any more clients?” or “I know you’re busy, do you have any more appointments this week?” I went from hoping for clients to getting new referrals to my firm every week. Become a master of your craft, and success will follow.

When faced with adversity, what motivates you to keep moving forward?

My “WHY” keeps me moving forward. I desire to maintain a life of freedom. When my kids were younger, it was about the freedom and flexibility to be there for them and take care of them on sick days or attend field trips or other fun activities during the summer. In my current chapter, it’s the freedom to live life on my terms, to not live check to check, but to have flexibility and travel when I want. It’s also freedom spiritually; understanding my faith & relationship with God. So, when faced with adversity, I can have a moment, but it will not hold me down. I must fall forward; I worship through my situation, take the time to learn from my mistakes, and allow the life lessons to propel me forward.

What is one goal you set and achieved that made you feel like "I'm That Girl"?

I recently turned 50 in May 2024 and decided a year prior that I wanted to do something different. I decided to do a 50th Birthday Concert. My goal was to start hosting big events and my birthday was a great start. I had planned birthday parties before, but not to this degree. I was humbled and grateful that so many people wanted to come celebrate and hear me sing. With just over 200 guests, a team of about 35 people including 9 singers, a full band, a producer, audio engineers, and many others, and a beautiful red carpet affair; I proved to myself that I could successfully do big events. I’m That Girl!

How can achieving financial freedom help women to feel their "it factor"?

Financial Freedom starts as a mindset and with a financial plan can become a reality. Most of our clients come to us feeling that they make good money but don’t have what they should have to show for it. They all have goals, but the common denominator is financial freedom. Just as women feel a certain way when their hair is done, or we have on a cute outfit, so it is with our money and financial freedom. Financial freedom brings confidence and peace of mind.
